Report abuse
Pubner hosts websites for independent customers. If one of them is doing something harmful, tell us.
1. What this page is for
Pubner is a hosting platform. The websites served at {name}.pubner.site, and at the custom domains our customers attach, are built and published by those customers — independent businesses and individuals who are not us. We provide the hosting; we do not write, review or endorse what they publish.
That is exactly why this page exists. If a site we host is being used to harm someone, you should not have to find the site owner, or work out which of our customers is responsible, before anyone at Pubner hears about it. Write to us directly.
2. What to report
Please report any site hosted by us that is involved in:
- Phishing — pages impersonating a bank, a service or a person in order to collect credentials, card details or payments.
- Malware — hosting, distributing or linking to malicious files or scripts.
- Spam — a site being advertised by unsolicited bulk email or messaging, or used as a landing page for it.
- Illegal content — anything unlawful under the applicable law, including child sexual abuse material, which we treat as an emergency and report onward.
- Intellectual property infringement — copyright or trademark, including sites copying yours.
- Impersonation and fraud — a site presenting itself as your organisation, or selling goods and services it has no intention of delivering.
- Abuse of the platform itself — attempts to attack our infrastructure, our other customers, or third parties from a site we host.
3. How to report
Email abuse@pubner.com. There is no form to fill in and no account required — anyone can write to that address.
A report we can act on quickly contains:
- the full URL of the offending page, not just the domain;
- a short description of what is wrong with it;
- any evidence you have — screenshots, the email that led you there with its full headers, a sample of the malicious file;
- the date and time you observed it, with a timezone;
- a way to reach you if we need more detail.
If you are reporting on behalf of a rights holder or an organisation, say so and tell us in what capacity.
4. What happens next
We acknowledge abuse reports within three business days and investigate every one of them. Reports of phishing, malware and illegal content are handled ahead of everything else.
Depending on what we find, we may contact the site owner and ask them to fix it, remove the offending content, take the site offline, or terminate the account entirely — see sections 3 and 10 of our Terms of Service. We will tell you what we decided. We do not disclose our customers' personal data to reporters; where a matter needs their identity, that goes through the proper legal channel.
5. Disputes with a site owner
Not everything belongs here. Complaints about an order that did not arrive, a refund, a booking, the accuracy of an article or a disagreement with a business are between you and that business — we host their site, we do not run it, and we cannot settle a commercial dispute on their behalf. Every site has its own contact details; start there.
If you did start there and the site turns out to be fraudulent rather than merely unresponsive, that is abuse, and we do want to hear about it.
6. Law enforcement and legal requests
Law enforcement, CERTs and legal representatives may use the same address; please put the nature of the request in the subject line so it is routed correctly. Requests for customer data must come through a valid legal instrument in the applicable jurisdiction. Preservation requests are actioned on receipt.
7. Security vulnerabilities
If you have found a vulnerability in the Pubner platform itself rather than a problem with a hosted site, please report it to info@pubner.com with the details, and give us a reasonable window to fix it before disclosing it publicly. We will not pursue good-faith security research.
